Privacy Notice

Who we are

The Constellation Collection was founded by Ruschelle Khanna and Deborah Delaney, who are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. This means they decide how it is used and look after it. The details of the operating company will be added here once its registration is complete.

For any question about this notice or your information, write to contact@theconstellationcollection.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect your name, your email address and anything you choose to tell us in your message. If we correspond with you afterwards, we keep that correspondence.

Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site secure and working, and we do not use it to identify you.

Please do not include health information or other sensitive details in an enquiry. If any is needed later, for example to plan a journey safely, we will ask for it separately and explain how it will be used.

How we use it, and why

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to send you the information you have asked for and, where you wish to join a journey, to introduce you to the tour operator that takes bookings for it. The law allows this because it is necessary to respond to your request before any agreement is made, and because we have a legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.

We do not send newsletters or marketing unless you ask to receive them. If you do, you can stop them at any time by replying to any message or writing to contact@theconstellationcollection.com.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of trusted providers who process information on our behalf and only on our instructions: Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry form, and Microsoft, which provides our email.

Each journey is booked through the destination management company or tour operator named for that journey, which acts under its own terms and privacy notice. We share your details with it only when you ask to book, or with your agreement.

We may also share information with our professional advisers, or where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers store or access information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved for use under UK law. You may ask us for details of the safeguard that applies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for 24 months from our last contact with you, after which they are deleted. We never take payments or hold payment details. Booking, payment and travel records are held by the tour operator for each journey, under its own privacy notice.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a format you can take elsewhere. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, write to contact@theconstellationcollection.com. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at contact@theconstellationcollection.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know the outcome without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics, and our fonts are hosted on the site itself, so no information about your visit is passed to font or analytics providers. If this changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
